Classic Sunday Finishes the Central California Fall Classic

Sunday marks the final day of the Central California Fall Classic, and we’ve had a spectacular week of top-level competition, made all the more exciting with the addition of our Halloween festivities.  From an enormous selection of outrageous costumes to pumpkin carving skills, trick-or-treating and more, participants were genuinely engaged in every aspect of our Halloween-themed show this week.

Once again, we’d like to congratulate John French on his many victories this week in the hunters, as well as his gorgeous performance with Soldier in Friday’s USHJA Hunter Derby. Kudos also to Kevin Winkel and Osophia, winners of Saturday’s Wine Country Grand Prix presented by TravelPaso.

In our Sunday Jumper Classics, our congratulations go to Soehnke Theymann and Cascaya, winner of the Four, Five, Six & Seven-Year-Old Jumper Classic; Sarah Witten and her mount Inman, victorious in the $1,500 California Horsetrader Low Junior/AO Jumper Classic; Ian Mcfarlane, who took home the blue ribbon aboard Celio Cruise in the $2,500 High Junior /AO Jumper Classic; Veronica Tracy and Daify, winners of the $1,000 CWD Modified Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic, and Adrienne Dixon, who rode to victory on Adelaide in the $1,000 Child/Adult Jumper Classic. Meg Nibbi and AceHigh were victorious in the Full Gallop Farm Low Adult Jumper Classic, generously sponsored by Nori Burby and Full Gallop Farm!

Hunter riders competed in a number of Classics today as well, with Brooke Morin and Set the Stage winning the $1,000 Junior/Low Junior Hunter Classic; Alexandra Block and As Ever the winners in the $1,000 Amateur Owner/Low Amateur Owner Hunter Classic; Cosineval and Avery Kalafatas taking the Pre-Children’s/Adult Hunter Classic; and Avery Glynn earning first and second aboard Bit of Flurries and Fine Art respectively in the $500 Pony Hunter Classic Presented by Cross Creek Farm!

Emma Townsend and Lassalle were our Derby winners today, besting a field of 27 entries in the $1,000 Children’s/Adult Amateur Hunter Derby Presented by Highland Farm. Medal winners included Leah Rappaport in the Foxfield; Lisette Lejnieks in the PCHA Horsemanship/Adult Medal; Audrey Poole in the CPHA Junior/Senior Medal; and Leah Rappaport again taking home first place honors in the Ariat.
