Congratulations to Natalie Templeton and Prophecy, Winners of the 2015 Onondarka Medal Finals

The San Diego Arena was the setting for a very special event today, as California’s top young equitation riders, aged 12-and-under, took on the final two rounds of the 53rd Annual Onondarka Medal Final. These young equitation specialists are tomorrow’s top trainers, Grand Prix competitors and horsemen and women, and we salute their horsemanship skills, riding talent and fortitude as they competed over two days and three challenging rounds of competition.
These young riders have been working toward this final all year, and it really showed: in their poise, their confidence and their riding ability. Congratulations to all our finalists, as well as to their trainers, families and supporters who made it possible for them to compete here at the Del Mar International Horse Show!

In the past, this prestigious medal final has been won by Susie Hutchinson, Francie Steinwedell and Lise Quintero. Today, they were joined by 2015 winner Natalie Templeton who prevailed throughout three rounds with increasingly difficult questions to come out on top. Natalie, riding her own entry Prophecy, received a custom CWD saddle, graciously donated by our exclusive saddlemaker, CWD, as well as a $10,000 Michael Nyuis Show Scholarship courtesy of West Palms Events.  Natalie is trained by Robyn Stiegler.

Thank you so much to the Simingtons for allowing us the opportunity to host this prestigious Medal Final, we are so grateful and we hope everyone enjoyed their time at the Del Mar International Horse Show! See you next year!
