Day One of World Cup Week Wraps Up a Successful Start to a Week of Spectacular Show Jumping!

Special Kudos to GGT Footing for Providing Their Exceptional Product in Murieta Equestrian Center's Indoor and Annex Arenas!

Sacramento, CA – Day One of Sacramento International World Cup Week saw plenty of jumper action in both Murieta’s Annex and Indoor jumper rings. Large turn-outs in every class meant riders had to be at the top of their game to be in the money. Karrie Rufer and Courtown, owned by Morningstar Sporthorses, bested a field of 61 entries to earn the blue in the $5,000 1.35m Welcome Stake, and the younger jumpers got off to a great start with the conclusion of the Qualifying Round of the Young Horse Championships. Today’s 1.3m, 1.40m, and 1.10m Jumper classes also saw large numbers of entries vying for ribbons, as did the Modified Junior/Amateur 1.10m.
