Entries Close Friday for the Brand New Four Week Winter Circuit in Central California

Entries close Friday, January 27 for the Santa Barbara Surfside and Sunshine Classics at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club and February 10 marks the close of entries for the Central California Welcome and Zinfandel Classics at the Paso Robles Horse Park. Two incredible cities beckon to the horse show community this Winter. With temperate weather, incredible views, wonderful wineries and restaurants, Santa Barbara and Paso Robles are ideal locations for Winter horse shows.

The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club would also like to extend a special temporary membership offer to the horse show competitors. Enjoy the tennis, swim and fitness center during your stay with a temporary membership. For only $75 per person for one week or $135 for the full two weeks of the event, you can utilize their facilities. Their fitness center, pool and jacuzzi are open 7 days a week from 8:30AM to 8:30PM.

Santa Barbara Surfside and Sunshine Classics:
February 22-March 5

Central California Welcome and Zinfandel Classics:
March 8-19

Due to the popularity of both locations, especially in the Winter months, we highly recommend booking accommodations early! There are also a limited number of permanent stalls at both facilities for the events that will sell quickly, so we encourage you to send in entries as soon as you can.

Both events feature USHJA National Hunter Derbies, the USHJA Green Hunter Challenge, Grand Prix each week and special $5,000 jumper classes during all weeks of competition.

Please keep in mind, the rings have been updated at the Paso Robles Horse Park. The Hunters will all now compete on the Fairway Field on the grass. The Grand Prix arena will transition from the Fairway Field to the newly updated “LD Hayes Grand Prix Arena,” which was previously the secondary jumper ring. It will expand in size with the same incredible GGT-Footing, to a vast 190′ X 260′ arena with a brand new berm and amenities. The secondary jumper arena will move just down the path to the Oak Grove Arena, which was the secondary hunter arena.
