Flintridge Autumn Classic wrapped up the 2015 Flintridge Horse Show Series

The sweltering heat at the Flintridge Riding Club did nothing to slow down the winners today in the final day of competition at the West Palms Events’ Flintridge Autumn Classic.
In the Flintridge Riding Club Medal yesterday, Haley Hall rode her own Cartino to victory with a near perfect round. Melody Liu took reserve in the same class on Gumby. Kaitlyn Lovingfoss secured the blue ribbon in the USHJA Jump Seat Medal class aboard Wurlitzer owned by Jill Edwards. The ASPCA Maclay was won by Rose Kauffman-Skloff riding Mac Miller owned by Show Hunter Investments.

The $15,000 Grand Prix of Flintridge was a challenging course designed by John Manning of Shelburne, MA. In a field of 29 competitors there were no riders to go clear to the second round of competition. The number 6 oxer to the 7 A/B combination proved to be a difficult element. This combined with a tight time allowed made horses and riders put the pedal to the metal. It was Stephanie Saperstein riding El Sueno De Amistad’s Cender Van’t Zorgvliet who topped the class with a mere 0.08 seconds over the time allowed. Second place finisher Katherine Burdett Griffiths on Ledinos finished with 3 time faults. Third place went to Susan Artes riding Alix Fargo’s Kit Kat. Up and coming Sophie St. Clair also made her Grand Prix debut with her Ottavia des Hayettes, earning a respectable seventh place finish! Congratulations to everyone!
