Flintridge Riding Club to Host World Champion Hunter Rider Event and North American Junior/Young Rider Selection Trials

Two high profile events have been added to Flintridge’s spring show season. The first is the World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) Member Series Event expected to bring draw some of the top hunters from around the country. They will compete at The Flintridge Spring Classic Horse Show April 18 – 21, 2013 in La Canada Flintridge, CA. Riders will be earning points in the hopes of qualifying for the WCHR Finals in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Another exciting addition to Flintridge is the North American Junior/ Young Rider Selection Trials to take place at the 92nd Annual Flintridge Horse Show April 25-28. The horse and rider combinations earning the most points during the Trials will earn a spot on the Zone 10 (California and Nevada) team. They will go on to compete against other teams from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean at the North American Junior/Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC), giving riders international competition experience. Former NAJYRC riders have gone on to compete in the Olympics.

West Palms Event Management manages both shows. The Flintridge Spring Classic is one out of seven shows in the Southwest region to be selected to host the WCHR. The 92nd Annual Flintridge Horse Show is a charity benefit for the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. The shows are expected to sell out, so early registration is recommended.
