West Palms Events look forward to presenting the prestigious 2018 LA Hunter Jumper Association Rosewood Medal Finals and the Betsy Woods Horsemanship Finals 2018 at the Huntington Beach Summer Classic, August 9-12, 2018 Huntington Beach, CA

LAHJA Rosewood Medal Finals
The Rosewood Medal Finals are open to riders who have accrued at least ten points in Rosewood Medal classes since the final the previous year. Round 1 will be held over a course of fences 3′ in height. All eligible riders will compete in this round. A numerical score will be given after each round.
Scores from round 1 will be averaged, scores from round 2 will be averaged and averaged with the scores from round 1 to determine the riders that will return for the work-off. Immediately following Round 2 there will be a work-off of the top four riders from Rounds 1 and 2, plus any rider whose average score is within three points of the leader and any rider with an average score of 80% or better. In the work-off the score will be added to the average score carried into the work-off. The judges will sit together for the work-off. Scores for the work-off will not be announced.

LAHJA Betsy Woods Horsemanship Finals

The Horsemanship finals will be run under the same specifications as the Rosewood finals. The courses to be set at 2’9″, spreads not to exceed 3′, with a minimum of 10 jumping efforts in each round. The first Round will be a hunter/equitation type course. The second Round will be of increasing difficulty for intermediate level riders.

In 2017 Madison Nadolenco riding Chinchurro Z (owner Jordan Nadolenco) won the LAHJA Rosewood Medal Final and Grace Cortese and Gold Creek’s Atlas took home the LAHJA Betsy Woods Horsemanship title.
