When asked what she thought about going last after Lane Clarke had a great ride, Abigail said, “I thought I better run my pants off. I’ve seen Lane go many a time and go very fast. I went in, my trainer stood on the side, and after there was that tight rollback I heard her scream as loud as she could, “Dig in!” I just ran for it and it worked out in my favor. I thought the course was great, it was very even keeled. She asked a lot of questions, but she didn’t do anything crazy. There were eight clean so that was pretty solid.”

Tonight’s class was briefly interrupted when Abigail, riding out of the 18th position, entered the ring and suddenly a bank of lights went out. After a twenty minute delay Abigail returned to jump the 8th clean round of the night securing the last position in the jump off.

As winner of the Grand Prix, Abigail was awarded the Malcolm Rossell Perpetual Trophy. She jumps into the lead in the GGT Grand Prix Series standings.
