West Palms’ Competitor Surveys Prompt Arena Changes and Expansion of New LD Hayes Grand Prix Arena

Due to our competitor and trainer concerns and opinions, we are changing up the rings in 2017 for both jumpers and hunters at the Park Robles Horse Park! Currently, the main arenas both are on the Fairway Field, with the secondary jumper and hunter rings on top notch GGT-Footing. We will be updating that layout beginning this Winter for the Central California Welcome and Zinfandel Classics.

The Grand Prix arena will transition from the Fairway Field to the newly updated “LD Hayes Grand Prix Arena,” which was previously the secondary jumper ring. It will expand in size with the same incredible GGT-Footing, to a vast 190′ X 260′ arena with a brand new berm and amenities. The secondary jumper arena will move just down the path to the Oak Grove Arena, which was the secondary hunter arena.

The hunters will all have the opportunity to gallop on the gorgeous turf this year, with the Fairway Grand Hunter moving to the half of the field that was the Fairway Grand Prix, and the second half of the field will becoming the Fairway Hunt Field for the secondary hunter arena.

“We listened to our competitors’ and trainers’ opinions and wanted to address their concerns,” said Adrienne Karazissis of West Palms Events. “We are very excited for the ring updates and hope that everyone will enjoy competing in them this season.”
