West Palms Event Management Partners with Feeding America, Compton Jr Posse, and JustWorld International

Support from the Equestrian Community

(La Canada Flintridge, CA) West Palms Event Management is happy to partner with three charities: Feeding America, Compton Jr Posse, and JustWorld International. Feeding America’s mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and to engage the country in the fight to end hunger. In order to support Feeding America, WPEM helps by getting equestrian riders involved and donating at the horse shows to local food banks. Show Manager Dale Harvey comments, “I have been to both the LA Food Bank and SD Feeding America warehouse and the work they are doing is incredible and with mostly volunteers. We are really hopeful that this partnership will be a long term opportunity for us to give back to the community in a direct way.”

For over 20 years, the Compton Jr. Posse has given inner-city kids hope by teaming them with horses. Through these equestrian activities youth develop responsibility, discipline, and self-esteem. WPEM has helped to expand and further their experience by inviting CJP groups to horse shows, where they can participate in activities and enjoy the events. Mayisha, Founder, Compton Jr Posse: “The horse shows give our kids an opportunity to see a world that they might not otherwise find. The partnership with Dale’s shows gives the kids a lot to look forward to and a lot to learn.” Every fall the Del Mar International hosts a CJP Clinic with Olympic Gold Medalist Will Simpson. The horse show arranges transportation for all of the kids that want to come.

JustWorld works through the international equestrian community. It’s extensive networks fund and sustain programs that provide basic needs to children in developing countries. There are many JustWorld Rider Ambassadors at WPEM’s horse shows. Ambassadors assist with fundraisers such as the Horseless Horse Show during the Sacramento and Del Mar International Horse Shows.
Alanna Harvey, special event coordinator for the JW Event commented, “It’s a lot of fun rounding up kids at the shows, everyone has such a good time with the Horseless Horse Show and it’s for such a good cause!”
