West Palms Events Presents Grand Prix Hunter Derby Series

Next Derby to be held at Huntington Beach Surf Classic, July 4 - 7, 2013

(Huntington Beach, CA) – Show Director, Dale Harvey, is always searching for new classes to add to the long line of exciting classes offered at West Palms Events’ four horse show locations. And the new Grand Prix Hunter Derby series does not disappoint. From Flintridge to Huntington Beach, you can find several $2,500 qualifying classes where the top 35 qualifiers will compete in the $25,000 Grand Prix Hunter Derby Finals hosted at the Del Mar International Horse Show, October 16-27, 2013.

Unlike a traditional Hunter class, the Grand Prix Hunter Derby is judged on not only the performance and suitability of the horse, but is also a race against the clock. Competitors are challenged to set an efficient pace while demonstrating brilliance and handiness.

The $2,500 South Shore Farm’s Grand Prix Hunter Derby is the next qualifier for the series, being held at the Huntington Beach Surf Classic, July 4-7, 2013. Thanks goes out to Dale as well as to the sponsor.”
